Intro
With ancoreShare, creating and sharing reports from your Qlik Sense data is incredibly easy! Simply add your Qlik Sense objects, choose your desired output format, and share - it's that simple. And if you're looking for more customization, ancoreShare offers a wide range of settings that allow you to fine-tune your reports to pixel-perfect precision. Whether you need quick, on-the-fly reports for immediate discussions or highly detailed, complex reports that are always accessible within your Qlik apps and analysis sheets, ancoreShare has you covered. You can even schedule reports or access them remotely!
Before you begin
Using ancoreShare is straightforward. Like any other simple Qlik Sense extension, it integrates seamlessly. All you need is a working Qlik Sense edition (Cloud, Server, or Desktop) and you're ready to get started.
The following sections will guide you through the basics you need to know before diving into ancoreShare.
Workflow
Using ancoreShare involves three main steps - Designing, Generating, and Sharing reports - which form the core of your report creation process and are mirrored in this documentation.
In this Getting Started section, you'll find the essentials for setting up ancoreShare, such as adding an ancoreShare button to your Qlik sheet, navigating the properties menu, and configuring the button’s appearance settings.
The following sections will then guide you through the three main workflow steps:
- Designing Reports: The first main step is report design. This section covers everything you need to create and configure your report layout, including setting up the report page, adding elements, and configuring specific output format settings, like PDF security or Excel templates.
- Generating Reports: The second step is generating your report files. Here, you’ll find information on all options for executing the report, whether directly in the app or remotely via scheduling and automation, to produce files in various formats.
- Sharing Reports: Finally, this section explains your options for deploying the generated report files, including downloading locally, sending by email or WhatsApp, storing in cloud services like Dropbox, OneDrive, or Google Drive, or integrating with automation tools like Qlik Application Automation or Microsoft Power Automate.
